Take Home the Garden

There’s something irresistible about a South Florida garden in early fall — the heat softens just enough, the landscape feels especially alive, and suddenly bringing home one more plant seems entirely reasonable.

Mounts Botanical Garden is leaning into that seasonal energy with its beloved Fall Plant Sale & Family Festival, returning October 3 and 4, 2026, for a weekend of plants, music, food, family activities and plenty of inspiration for the garden-curious.

One of Mounts’ most popular traditions, the sale brings together more than 70 plant, artisan, food and beverage vendors throughout the lush West Palm Beach garden. Expect everything from tropical favorites and Florida natives to rare, exotic and hard-to-find varieties — along with knowledgeable growers ready to help seasoned gardeners and first-time plant parents alike.

It’s as much about the experience as the shopping. Visitors can wander the Garden, discover unique treasures, enjoy live music and refreshments, and turn an ordinary plant-buying trip into a full day outdoors. Mounts’ own nursery will also offer herbs, ornamentals, indoor plants and more.

The festival takes place Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with Mounts members receiving special early access beginning at 8 a.m., and Sunday, October 4, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Admission is free for Mounts members and children five and under. General admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors 65+, college students and military with ID, and $13 for ages 6–17.

For anyone ready to refresh the patio, rethink the garden — or simply spend a beautiful day surrounded by a tropical wonderland — this is one Palm Beach County fall tradition worth putting on the calendar.
